Spectacular
Precision dancing nonstop in a fast pace that was captivating & exciting. Stunning costumes with lots of changes kept the momentum going the entire show. The 3-piece musical ensemble of saxophonist, drummer & base guitarist was phenomenonally talented & added extra dimension to an already high-octane show. Breathtaking choreography, superb staging & inventive prop use with a ladder, hatrack & umbrellas made for an unforgettable & joyous experince. The only negative was the two corny audience participant gags with a female one instance & male the second time -- obvious plants but I came to see professional dancing so didn't want to endure amateurs mimicking movement. With performances so stunning there's no need for comic relief & for the part where Derek jumps over 4 people from the audience I'd have rather seen him sail over the 4 female dancers. If I want to look at regular people I can go to a casino. Derek has a charmihg stage presence & is a talented singer & guitarist as well so seeing him showcase those skills was an extra bonus. Highly recommend the show & will remember it always. The Venetian is a phenomenal property & its Summit Showroom was the perfect venue where the rounded stage perfectly highlighted all the awesome dancing. BRAVO!!
